Gua Sha tool | How to guide

What is a Gua Sha tool and how in the heck do you use one?

We are about to tell you the ins and outs but if you're in the bathroom right now with a face full of serum and most likely in the nudie rudie scroll to the bottom of this page for the SOS quick-help diagram.

The Gua Sha practice (loosely translated into 'scraping') was initially performed for heatstroke and releasing toxins within the body and often performed by a coin, spoon or bone.

The beauty benefits of the Gua Sha were discovered by accident. Today the Gua Sha tool is used to manually drain lymphatic fluid that causes puffiness and inflammation. Its believed to release tension, promote blood circulation and even improve fine lines and wrinkles all whilst defining your bone structure.

Ready to give this pretty little too a go?

Step 1 Ensure your face or body is lubricated by a serum or body oil

Step 2 using your tool in a sweeping, upwards motion. Repeat 3-4 times over the same area  (see diagram below for the different strokes and sides of the tool

Step 3 Wash your Gua Sha tool gently with warm soapy water

Step 4 Use your Gua Sha tool gently once a day or 2-3 times a week

Step 5 Get on with your day as a glowing goddess
